NEW "Parentcam available soon 

Tiggers @ Westonbirt is set to install a new state of the art "PARENTCAM", giving parents the opportunity to watch their child at play whilst providing the latest multi-layer security protection.  The system is safer than online banking and the nursery has full control of all user accounts, deleting those that have had multi-failure log-in attempts or parents that have left. One of the most difficult tasks for nursery staff is reassuring parents that their child is really happy and well-looked after whilst in their care.  For parents and children who find dropping off difficult, guilt and emotion can cause them to mistrust even the most well-run and friendly nurseries.    

Parental webcam is a highly secure web-cam facility that enables parents to view live images of their child at play via the internet from wherever they are, seeing for themselves that their child is happy at play and that the nursery is doing a fantastic job! A 21^st extension of the “open door” policy providing an easy and effective way of offering assurance and building trust.   

We take pride in what we offer at Tiggers and want to be able to share this with parents.  Research by child physiologists found that webcams gave parents a feeling that they are actually taking part in the activities in the nursery, that they are together with their child, even though they are miles apart.  This paper can be downloaded from: http://www.nurserycam.co.uk/research.pdf    

Parents will be privy to a very rare insight of their child’s behaviour when they are away from them, which will be fascinating for parents, who can be a fly on the wall.  We hope that parents will benefit from this experience and not use it as a way to check up on staff, which all do a fantastic job.  All staff are happy to be on camera as they feel proud of their work and of the standards provided by the nursery.

Tiggers @ Westonbirt has just received an annual spot check by an Environmental Health Officer.    

He was so impressed with our standards of hygiene and the quality of food prepared that he has raised our score to 4 ****    

We have always been very aware of the importance of these requirements for young children and we are extremely proud of this result.

  The baby soft floor play area at Downfield

 The new secret garden at Downfield - we now have some lovely plants and veggies growing, which makes it more secrete!  There has also been a clear plastic roof added to make this an area to play in the rain!
